What to expect
The course is aimed at participants from Azerbaijan, in particular last-year residents, board-certified radiologists, and fellows interested in Cardiovascular Radiology. The course will cover Levels II and III as defined by the European Training Curriculum (ETC). This course is designed to provide insights into state-of-the-art applications of modern Cardiac Radiology. It is organised as a multimodality course discussing the most relevant clinical applications of both Cardiac CT and MR. The presentations will provide clear recommendations for optimised imaging protocol as well as a structured approach to reporting. One specific clinical focus of this course will be on the state-of-the-art application of Cardiac MR in the characterisation of ischaemic and non-ischaemic myocardial disease, as well as cardiac oncology, a developing field. Another main topic includes the use of Cardiac CT in the visualisation of coronary arteries and the diagnosis of coronary artery disease, even beyond stenosis detection and quantification. The faculty consists of three well-known European experts who will ensure high-quality teaching. The structure of ESOR courses, combining lectures with directly related interactive case discussions, will ensure success in this course.
