What to expect

Abdominal emergencies are by far the most common emergencies worldwide. The role of radiology is crucial to diagnose and help patient triage. This course is aimed at residents in their 4th and 5th year of training in radiology and recently board-certified radiologists interested in Emergency Radiology. It is adhered to Level I-II of the European Training Curriculum and is designed to update knowledge in the continuously evolving field of trauma and non-trauma emergency. This course will be specifically focused on the respective role of ultrasound and CT in abdominal trauma and the most common abdominal emergencies, such as Cholecystitis, Appendicitis, Enteritis and Colitis, Pancreatitis and Bowel Ischemia
