What to expect

The course is aimed at last year residents, board-certified radiologists, and fellows interested in Cardiovascular Radiology. This Visiting Professorship will cover level II and III knowledge as defined by the European Training Curriculum (ETC). This course is designed to address recent updates and well-established applications in the fast-evolving field of Cardiac Radiology. It is organized as a multimodality course discussing the most relevant clinical applications of both Cardiac CT and MR. The presentations will provide clear recommendations for optimized imaging protocol as well as a structured approach to analysis and reporting. One specific clinical focus of this course will be on the state-of-the-art application of Cardiac MR in the characterization of ischemic and non-ischemic myocardial disease, as well as on the assessment of the right ventricle. Another main topic will include the use of Cardiac CT in the visualization of coronary arteries and the diagnosis of coronary artery disease, even beyond stenosis detection and quantification, as well as the emerging role of Cardiac CT in the management of chronic coronary syndromes. As a third main topic, we will put a spotlight on right-heart diseases.

The faculty consists of three well-known European experts who will ensure high-quality teaching and who are eager to share their expertise. The successful structure of ESOR courses by combining lectures with interactive case discussions directly related to the talk will ensure intensive exchange between faculty and attendees.
