Learning Objectives

Day 1

 

  • learn about the scientific evidence obtained from lung cancer screening trials
  • gain knowledge of the epidemiology of lung cancer across different European countries
  • develop skills in dose requirements and reading modalities
  • gain confidence in the assessment of solid nodules
  • learn to describe and manage sub-solid nodules effectively

 

Day 2

 

  • learn how to adapt follow-up intervals based on CT scan results.
  • understand the challenges associated with incidental findings.
  • understand the risks of over-diagnosis and stage change.
  • comprehend the performance and limitations of AI in lung cancer screening.
  • learn about the current state of lung cancer screening in Europe.
  • explore the biomarker candidates currently under study in lung cancer screening.

Small group for the big impact
This course is limited to 16 participants to ensure low instructor-trainee ratio

Pre-course online meeting
An online  video call will allow to get to know eachother, set the expectations for the course and assign pre-course tasks for participants

Hands-on training in Vienna
You will meet in-person for a two-day intensive training with interactive tasks, constrictive feedback and self-reflection activities 

Post-programme follow-up call
One-month after the course in Vienna you will have a follow-up video call with instructors
