What to expect

Suitable for any ESR member interested in undertaking research, but with a particular focus on those early in their careers. This course aims to present some of the fundamental aspects of radiological research. The course consists of 1 online session of 60 min (5 min introduction, 40 min presentation, 15 min Q&A).

The true value of a diagnostic or interventional imaging procedure is not just its diagnostic accuracy, but the impact it has on patient management and outcome, and even on society more broadly. In this session, the concept of value-based radiology is explained, and strategies to associate diagnosis with outcome are discussed.
