Oncologic Imaging

Course informationThe course is aimed at senior residents, board-certified radiologists and fellows interested in abdominal oncologic imaging. It is designed as an intense one-day programme, directly linked to the 5th Ukrainian Congress of Radiology, as part of the ESR Support Initiative. A particular focus will be on the applications of the latest imaging techniques, diagnostic criteria, staging principles and clinical role of imaging in liver, pancreatic, renal and prostate cancer. Renowned European experts will ensure a high-quality teaching programme, combining lectures and workshops, allowing for interactive case discussions.

Learning objectives

 

  • to present an update on current imaging criteria and strategies for the detection of some of the most frequent/important neoplastic diseases of the abdomen
  • to review the evolving role and diagnostic potential of imaging within the multidisciplinary Tumour Board Meetings
  • to explain the clinical significance of diffusion-weighted imaging in abdominal oncology
  • to understand morphological imaging criteria for assessing tumour response in patients with abdominal malignancies
